[Copy Prompt] Suno v6 Music Generation Practical Guide · Audio AI Template

Prompt Edit here before copy/try — source content is unchanged

1. Stop describing the song. Start directing the musicians.
   - Use specific behavioral instructions like "Piano carries the harmony during the verse while low strings sustain underneath."
   - Avoid vague adjectives like "beautiful, emotional, epic."
   - Suggested structure: Identity → Pulse → Instruments → Performance → Emotional Arc → Mix → Constraints.

2. Understand the role of Variety.
   - Set Variety to 0 during prompt development to determine if Suno understands the instructions.
   - Set Variety to 10-20 for final generations to introduce variation without completely rewriting the musical intent.

3. Use Max Mode strategically.
   - Max Mode is useful for longer songs, maintaining vocal identity, and stylistic consistency.
   - Don't treat it as the "Better Mode™". If the composition or prompt is still being developed, frequent use may waste credits.

4. Describe the actual voice mechanics.
   - For example: "close-miked warm lyric tenor, clear diction, restrained vibrato, legato phrasing, controlled upper register."
   - Include dimensions like voice identity, range, articulation, phrasing, intensity, and recording perspective.

5. Distinguish between "intimate" and "quiet" vs. "buried in the mix".
   - If you want emotionally quiet but acoustically present vocals, separate those instructions.
   - For example: "close-miked intimate lead vocal, low vocal intensity, dry and foregrounded, clearly audible above the accompaniment, minimal room ambience, restrained breathiness."

6. Extremely quiet vocals can be a powerful stylistic tool.
   - Sometimes v6 lets the voice almost disappear. Don't automatically treat it as a failed generation.
   - Try to recreate this effect through overall arrangement, such as sudden vocal collapse during emotional breaks.

7. Make the arrangement react to the singer.
   - If the singer becomes vulnerable, don't just change the vocal instruction. Tell the instruments what to do.
